Richard Davey gets third Emmy nomination

Richard Davey, Jumbuck senior re-recording mixer and co-owner, has been nominated in the 2023 Emmys in the Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Nonfiction Program category, for his work on The Sound of 007.

This is Richard’s third Emmy nomination – he had two nominations previously for his work on HBO’s “VEEP.” He has so far not come away with a win, so fingers crossed for third time lucky!

The Sound of 007“, a product of collaboration with MGM/Prime Video and directed by our friend and long-term collaborator Mat Whitecross, explores the incredible music and songs across 50 years of the James Bond franchise.

Mat Whitecross brings his signature storytelling flair to the project, guiding us through the evolution of Bond’s long history of killer tunes. From behind-the-scenes interviews with composers and musicians to insights from filmmakers who’ve contributed to Bond’s legendary status, the documentary is a must-see for fans and professionals alike.

We’re thrilled about Richard’s nomination and proud to see “The Sound of 007” receive the recognition it deserves.
