We’re thrilled to see two short films Jumbuck had the privilege of working on premiere at this year’s BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.
Body of Our Own, directed by Rahemur Rahman and Lily Vetch, is a powerful documentary filmed over six years, capturing the resilience and sisterhood of three Hijra women. Post-production sound by Jumbuck, with Mark Timms as re-recording mixer.
Kiloran Bay, directed by Michael Bruce, follows a gay man returning to Scotland for a wedding cèilidh with his partner after decades away, only to confront memories he’s long tried to leave behind. Post-production sound by Jumbuck, with James Colledge as re-recording mixer.

The BBC has unveiled first-look pictures ahead of the highly anticipated fourth series of Beyond Paradise. The new series, coming later this month to BBC iPlayer and BBC One, will feature guest stars including Susan George, Phil Daniels, Colin McFarlane, Michael Cochrane, Melanie Walters and Vincent Franklin.
The hugely popular show will blur fact and folklore as the death of a novelist is investigated, and DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Martha (Sally Bretton) launch into married life as they search for a new home.

Unfortunately no one at Jumbuck dressed up for World Book Day today, although @ed_boot does remind us a bit of the beanstalk... but we still thought it was the perfect opportunity to take a look back at some of the wonderful TV adaptations that Jumbuck has had the pleasure of working on over the years.

We’re excited to share that Kiloran Bay will have its world premiere at the BFI Flare Festival in London on 25th March.
Kiloran Bay is written and directed by Michael Bruce and is a musical short film starring Alan Cumming and Jack Wolfe. After decades away, a gay man returns home to Scotland to attend a traditional wedding and faces a past he spent a lifetime avoiding.
We’re wishing the entire team every success with the release and couldn’t be prouder that our very own James Colledge was part of the journey.
