Mixing

Mixing is the centre-piece of our services, and everything we do feeds into, or derives from here.

Jumbuck is Emmy, BAFTA, RTS, and CAS recognised for mixing, and we have a long history of producing outstanding soundtracks for comedy, comedy drama, long-form scripted and episodic drama, documentary and feature films. 

Our mixing teams work closely with our in-house editorial, foley and ADR recording to create a seamless journey from picture lock to delivery. We also work closely with the huge pool of talented freelancers in the UK and beyond.

Whilst our rooms are set up for in-person mixing, we also can facilitate remote workflows and have dedicated channels for live-reviewing work to your laptop or remote studio.

 

Sound editorial

We have talent in abundance in our sound editorial department.

Senior sound supervisors Antony Bayman and Jack Gillies each come with 20 years of experience working on scripted serial drama and feature films at the highest levels. Antony and Jack are both nominated for MPSE awards this year, on Black Mirror and The Last Kingdom.

Jane Lo is our newest addition to the FX department and has already picked up an MPSE nomination in 2024 for her work on Black Mirror.

Heading up our dialogue editorial department are Steve Berezai and Michael Williams, both also nominated for MPSEs this year. Steve and Michael have been working on our biggest and best shows for many years, and they are highly in demand. 

ADR

Our dedicated ADR studio is newly built on our fourth floor, and is set up with the very latest technologies and connectivity.

We have a large green room with natural light, coffee and drinks, and a chance for artists to relax before their sessions. There is also space here for project supervisors to set up for the day whilst managing the ADR bookings. 

Studio 1 is available for ADR as well, offering even more space for clients as well as room for multiple artistes. 

Foley recording

Our dedicated foley studio, built in a converted milking parlour in Kent, is home to our in-house foley recordist Sam Walsh, and artist and editors Neale Ross and Rhiana Field. 

Our foley team have been flat out working on Jumbuck’s projects since we built the foley studio in lockdown.

Working closley with the sound supervisors and dialogue editors, we are able to produce a foley soundtrack that focuses love and attention to the creative parts of the soundtrack that really need foley loud and proud, whilst also ensuring we are able to provide fully compliant international music and effects tracks for all the localisation requirements. 

Project supervision

Our goal is to provide you with unrivalled support and service throughout your entire production. Anne Pamphilon and her team have over 30 years’ experience of audio post-production supervision, and will do whatever they can to accommodate your requests.

We have a calm and spacious reception area where you are always welcome to drop in for a quick catch-up or to spend the day working on our fast WiFi and topped up with coffees ordered from your phone.
