We were delighted to hear that several shows mixed at Jumbuck have received BAFTA Nominations!
The End of the F***ing World (Clerkenwell Films) has been nominated for Best Drama. It's up against Peaky Blinders, Line of Duty, and The Crown. TEOTFW was mixed by David Drake (6 eps) and Richard Davey (2 eps) in Autumn 2017.
In the Best Scripted Comedy category, Timewasters is up against Catastrophe, Chewing Gum and This Country. Dave Drake mixed Timewasters in Summer 2017.
The Moorside received a nomination for Best Mini Series, and faces competition from Howards End, The State and Three Girls. The Paul Whittington-directed drama, which was based on the real life story of the kidnap of Shannon Matthews, was mixed by Richard Davey back in June 2016.
Jumbuck would also like to congratulate the actors who received nominations this year. Rob Brydon is nominated for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme, for his work in The Trip to Spain. This was mixed by Richard Davey in January 2017. Anna Maxwell Martin received a nomination for portraying Julia in Motherland, which was mixed by Glenn Calder.
Finally, Sinead Keenan and Brían F O'Byrne are nominated for Leading Actress and Supporting Actor respectively, for their roles in Little Boy Blue, which was mixed by Richard Davey in March 2017, with Post-Production Supervision by David O'Brien before he joined the Jumbuck team.
The BAFTA TV Awards winners are announced on 13th May 2018. Best of luck to all the nominees!
