Vacancy - Receptionist/Post Production Assistant

Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, attending to our in house email and sorting incoming and outgoing mail and couriers. A keen interest in post production is required, in particular in the area of sound.  The successful candidate will be required to assist with the management of incoming and outgoing media and help with scheduling of projects and external ADR. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain valuable experience in film & television in a leading post production sound facility. A sunny disposition and a can-do attitude is a must.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to take orders and to show tact and deference towards those in positions of authority and greater responsibility.

  • Punctual and enthusiastic, and understand the importance of taking detailed notes and recording expenditure accurately (petty cash).

  • Be level-headed, and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

  • Able to contribute to good working relationships, and to creating a positive atmosphere in the office amongst colleagues and clients.

  • Flexible, well organised and be able to think on their feet.

  • Be computer literate in Google docs, Outlook and Microsoft packages.

  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues, and ensure that their actions do not constitute a risk to themselves or to others

 

Responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting important guests with a friendly disposition.

  • Studio prep and general office upkeep. The studio needs to be kept tidy and presentable at all times.

  • Answering phones and general office admin.

  • Making tea and coffee, getting lunch for the team and clients.

  • Data and media management - incoming & outgoing.

  • Dealing with a varied range jobs and an ability to multi task.

  • Someone who can work with  initiative and a willingness to learn.

  • A familiarity with ‘Farmers Wife’ is not essential but will be beneficial to applicants.
